Who are we?
Defend Marriage (The Constitutional Marriage Amendment Campaign) is a coalition of organisations seeking to change the South African constitution to protect the definition of marriage by confirming that marriage can only be between a man and a woman.
We recommend adding to section 39 (Interpretation) the clause:
"'The Constitution shall be interpreted to mean that a marriage is the voluntary union between a man and a woman only."
