PLEASE REMEMBER 3RD DECEMBER AS 'SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE SUNDAY'

'Defend Marriage' is asking all churches to observe the first Sunday in
December as Sanctity of Marriage Sunday. So-called 'Same-sex marriage' is
due to become recognised by South African law on 1st December 2006 to fulfil
the judgement of the Constitutional Court made on 1st December 2005. This
threatens to seriously undermine respect for the Sanctity of Marriage in
South Africa. Respect for marriage is also under attack from numerous other
social sins.

All churches are asked to include in their service a prayer and scripture
reading to promote the Sanctity of Marriage.

This year 'Sanctity of Marriage Sunday' will be on 3rd December 2006.

PLEASE PRAY FOR:
* God to protect and strengthen marriages and protect moral purity in our
church.
* God to protect Christians and other moral people against persecution by
homosexual activists.

Pray for those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-12):
* Parliament to pass a Constitutional Amendment to protect marriage.
* The Constitutional Court to reverse their decision to recognise 'same-sex
marriage'.
* Against a the proposed 'Domestic partnerships' Bill to recognise couples
living together.
* Home Affairs officials to stand strong against same-sex marriage.

We also need to repent of:
* Our national sins undermining marriage, such as recognising so-called
'same-sex marriage'; 'homosexual rights'; legal pornography and tolerance of
the sex industry; and past migrant labour practices.
* Our personal sins, such as failure to speak up against disrespect for
sexual purity and marriage and compromise in entertainment choices,
relationships and marriages that undermine marriage.

PLEASE READ SCRIPTURES IN CHURCH SUCH AS:
Jesus said "But at the beginning of creation God made them male and female.'
`For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his
wife, and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but
one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." (Mark
10:6-9).

"In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and
were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with
other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."
(Romans 1:27)

Leave Letter For Marriage

A stem cell clinic touts its links with leading scientists said...

Politics & FDA clearance of 2 stem cell clinic COVID-19 efforts

FDA is doing better job on unproven stem cell clinics, but it has cleared many INDs, some iffy, for stem cell and cellular medicine trials for COVID-19.

The FDA and its CBER branch have been doing a good job overall in the last 3+ years to tackle the unproven stem cell clinic problem, but lately on the stem cells for COVID-19 front there is reason for real concern.

I believe the agency is taking on major risk overall by clearing a vast number of cell therapy trials for COVID-19 mostly without much data, but the clearance of a few programs by for-profit stem cell clinics is especially problematic in my view.
FDA on the ball more generally on clinics

For background and on the positive, the FDA is taking the problem of the stem cell clinic industry very seriously and taking action on clinic firms that are injecting patients with unapproved stem cell drugs.

It has sent off dozens of untitled and warning letters to clinic firms pitching unproven stem cells and other regenerative biologics like exosomes. The agency’s biologics branch called CBER is really on the ball on this these days. Its Director Peter Marks deserves big kudos for the serious commitment and marathon work here over many years to make things happen on this problem. Dr. Marks was the subject of an interesting piece in the WaPo by Laurie McGinley recently: Meet the most important federal official you probably don’t know — the man who holds the fate of the coronavirus vaccine in his hands.
